Rhino Africa Safaris is Africa’s leading luxury travel company, dedicated to creating unforgettable and life-changing journeys that connect guests to Africa in a way that inspires, transforms, and protects.

As the Website Content Editor, you’ll be the vital link between technology and storytelling, ensuring our content remains both machine-readable and deeply human. You’ll uphold the authenticity, expertise, and passion that define Rhino Africa - crafting content that’s accurate, emotionally engaging, and reflective of our first-hand experience and commitment to conservation.

Every word should inform, inspire, and move. In this role, you’ll help maintain Rhino Africa’s position as the trusted, authoritative voice in African travel - one that champions the protection of wildlife and landscapes and guides travellers towards journeys that leave a lasting, positive legacy.

What You’ll Do:

  • Proofread and edit English content for Rhino Africa’s website and our CRM system, ensuring it is structured, easy to read, informative, and helpful.
  • Review, edit, and update AI-assisted online content to ensure that Rhino Africa’s content engages the senses, evokes emotions, and contributes to meaningful narratives.
  • Ensure all written online content for the website and our CRM system follows Rhino Africa’s brand voice, tone, style, and philosophy as defined in the Rhino Africa Brand Bible.
  • Continuously edit, update, and optimise website content to improve rankings, referencing, visibility, and organic traffic.
  • Review and fact-check AI-assisted content and correct inaccuracies to ensure our content is aligned with the Rhino Africa Brand Bible.
  • Collaborate with key Sales Consultants (Wilderness Guides) to include first-hand experience and insight into online content, reinforcing our expertise.
  • Assist with updating online content on the website (via the CMS) and CRM system.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Diploma or Degree in Journalism, English Literature or Language, Digital Media, Marketing, Communication, or a similar field.
  • 3-5 years' experience in website content editing and/or website content writing.
  • Exceptional proofreading skills and the ability to remove "AI language" from content to make it human and emotionally engaging.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A team-oriented and travel-centric mindset, with a natural curiosity for the evolving era of search.
  • A basic understanding of elementary SEO/GEO principles.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets) and ClickUp.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a purpose-driven company shaping African travel, where Impact is why we exist, focusing on uplifting communities and protecting wildlife.
  • Work with a passionate, experienced team that embraces Innovation to reimagine how we work.
  • Contribute to a strong, client-centric culture where human connection thrives even in an AI-driven world.
  • Join our Rhino Crash where we value diverse perspectives and foster an environment where everyone is encouraged to speak up to enrich our collective growth.
  • Have the opportunity to be part of making dreams come true for our guests and leave a positive, lasting legacy on Africa.

Benefits

  • Earn an attractive basic salary, pension fund contribution and 20 days of paid vacation per year;
  • When on-site, carry out your craft in gorgeous offices in the heart of Cape Town - the world's most beautiful city;
  • Collaborate with a diverse and talented high-performance team;
  • Explore Africa - To share our glorious continent with the crash, we offer each of our Rhinos exclusive access to the Roaming Rhinos online travel portal. With the keys to the kingdom you'll unlock travel deals for yourself, your family and your friends. You'll get to take advantage of rebates on activities, transport and accommodation, including our own Camissa House and Silvan Safari Lodge!

Please note:

  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
  • A full Job Description will be shared with candidates who progress to the interview stage.

Rhino Africa Safaris is an equal opportunities employer. Applicants from previously disadvantaged groups and people with disabilities will be given preference. Please note that this position is only available to SA citizens.
