We are looking for a UX Architect to build a world-class travel platform, bridging the gap between cutting-edge AI technology and profound human connection. Your mission is to strategically pioneer the full digital rebuild of Rhino Africa’s ecosystem, ensuring our brand remains the most trusted answer to the world’s most important travel questions. You will design frictionless, visually striking journeys that move souls and, crucially, drive high-intent traveller enquiries.
What You’ll Do:
- Behavioral Research: Conduct deep-dive user research and A/B testing, leveraging AI-driven analytics to identify and remove friction points for the high-net-worth traveller.
- AI-First Architecture: Design for the "Answer Engine" era, optimising digital journeys to ensure Rhino Africa’s authority within AI-generated summaries and LLM-cited content.
- Conversion-Centric Design: Lead the overhaul of the website and blog to create intuitive, conversion-optimised layouts that measurably increase traveller enquiries and booking value.
- Information Engineering: Organise complex destination data, luxury lodge portfolios, and FAQs into a clean, responsive, and uncluttered interface across all devices.
- Data-Driven Optimisation: Collaborate with BI and Performance Marketing to monitor user interactions, using real-time data to refine navigation and site "stickiness."
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the UX authority across Engineering, SEO, and Brand teams, translating business goals into functional, high-fidelity prototypes (Figma).
- Scalable Systems: Build and maintain a sophisticated design system that accommodates multi-language international markets while staying true to our "soul and grit."
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven Portfolio: A robust portfolio of website and platform work is non-negotiable. We specifically want to see "Before and After" case studies that demonstrate how your designs directly improved business KPIs.
- Conversion Mastery: A track record of designing interfaces where the primary success metric was lead generation or enquiry volume.
- AI Literacy: A deep understanding of how AI is changing search behavior and how to structure content for digital agents and discovery engines.
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in Figma and experience with AI-assisted design and analytics tools.
- Psychological Insight: An understanding of user behavior and the "High-Net-Worth" consumer psyche, knowing where they click, how they search, and why they convert.
- Accountability: A mindset that thrives on being held accountable for design decisions; you aren't just making it look good, you're making it work.
- Industry Experience: Experience in high-end travel, luxury goods, or complex e-commerce platforms is highly advantageous.
