We are on the lookout for a full-time Project Coordinator to join our Project Management team. 

 

Our ideal Project Coordinator will be a project management enthusiast and share our passion for technology and projects, making a difference in South Africa. We are seeking a candidate who is a competent communicator and possesses exceptional knowledge of project management and the project management lifecycle (acquired through formal education or working experience).

 

As a Project Coordinator at Rhino Africa, you will be responsible for maintaining project roadmaps and collaborating with internal teams and Project Leads to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.

As a Project Coordinator, your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to: 

  • Maintain and monitor project plans, project roadmaps, project resources, project budgets and expenditures where necessary
  • Assist in the definition of project scope, objectives and estimated delivery times, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring strategic alignment
  • Monitor the progress of projects and work together with Project Leads to handle any issues that arise
  • Work with Project Leads to facilitate that projects are delivered on-time and within scope
  • Administer and maintain the project management platform used by the business and provide necessary support to users when required
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, presentations, plans and reports while facilitating its distribution
  • Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project
  • Assist with project management related training programmes
  • Organise, facilitate and participate in project related meetings and distribute meeting minutes to all project team members
  • Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings
  • Provide administrative support to Project Leads and Project Managers as needed

 

Requirements

 

Our ideal Project Coordinator will possess:

  • Knowledge of SDLC and the Project Management Life Cycle
  • Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans
  • Ability to create, maintain and understand reports and dashboards
  • Outstanding attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Strong organisational skills, including multitasking and time management
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines

 

Not essential but advantageous:

 

  • A Degree or equivalent diploma in Business Administration, Information Systems, Commerce (Technology focused) or another relevant field of study
  • Previous working experience in a project management related environment for up to 2 years
  • Experience working in a technology environment, either supporting a technology group or working in a technology company
  • Knowledge of project management software such as ClickUp, Monday.com, JIRA, Asana etc.
  • Knowledge of Agile and Lean methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
